About imagineWiki

imagineWiki is an open take on the imagineRio atlas. Everything on the map comes from open, community-maintained projects:

• OpenHistoricalMap: streets, buildings, rail lines and coastlines, filtered to the selected year.
• Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons: historical photographs with a camera position, from Wikidata items (such as the Instituto Moreira Salles collection for Rio) and geotagged Commons files, and dated landmarks.
• Wikimaps Warper: historical maps from Commons, georeferenced by volunteers.
• GeoSampa (Prefeitura de São Paulo) and Pauliceia 2.0 (UNIFESP): georeferenced historical maps of São Paulo from 1868 to 1954.

Something missing or wrong? Every source can be edited: add dates to features on OpenHistoricalMap, camera headings on Wikidata, or georeference another map on Warper.
